Why drink a fancy imported brand of water when some of the purest on the planet is sourced from an underground spring right here in Quebec! Three video concepts for PepsiCo Canada's Montellier brand of sparkling water (a CROWDiate spec assignment).
Digital Video 1: “The Damsel”
MUSIC THROUGHOUT: “It's a Man's Man's Man's World” by James Brown SFX: Anything necessary. VIDEO OUTLINE: A woman (35-49 years of age) is hanging on for her dear life from a cliff or building. A caped superhero flies in and hovers near her. “May I?” he asks politely. “Please,” the woman replies with bated breath. The superhero reaches for her, only to grab a headscarf hanging out from her coat/jacket pocket, blows his nose loudly into it, tosses the headscarf over his shoulder, thanks the woman and flies away. Cut to her perplexed face. FEMALE VOICE-OVER + SUPER: “Feel overlooked and invisible?” ON-SCREEN: Woman nods. FEMALE VOICE-OVER: “I know the feeling. I’m Montellier. The #MadeByCanada sparkling water.” SUPER: The #MadeByCanada sparkling water. |
Digital Video 2: “The Karateka”
MUSIC THROUGHOUT: “It's a Man's Man's Man's World” by James Brown SFX: Anything necessary. VIDEO OUTLINE: A karate dojo. Two karatekas—a female (35-49 years of age) and a hulk of a man. Each is standing over a stack of boards. The guy’s stack has six or so boards. At a signal from the sensei, the guy brings his hand smashing down onto his stack of boards. He manages to break about 3-4 of them. He bows and steps back with a smug look on his face. Next, it’s the woman’s turn. The woman’s stack has twice as many boards. She breaks all her boards. The hall erupts in applause and congratulatory shouts. The other students surround the guy. A couple of them hoist him up onto their shoulders and parade him around the dojo. The sensei is visibly proud, so much so that he is seen wiping away a tear. Cut to woman’s perplexed face. FEMALE VOICE-OVER + SUPER: “Don’t feel appreciated enough?” ON-SCREEN: Woman nods. FEMALE VOICE-OVER: “I know the feeling. I’m Montellier. The #MadeByCanada sparkling water.” SUPER: The #MadeByCanada sparkling water. |
Digital Video 3: “The Firefighter”
MUSIC THROUGHOUT: “It's a Man's Man's Man's World” by James Brown SFX: Anything necessary. VIDEO OUTLINE: A female firefighter (35-49 years of age) races into a burning building. Rescues several people and pets. The fire is put out. The sooty-faced woman is snacking on a hot dog. The fire chief and her all-male colleagues, visibly pleased with and enjoying each other’s company, head towards her. The fire chief stretches out his hand towards the woman only to grab a bottle of ketchup on the table. He squeezes some on his hot dog before passing it around. The men then walk away, having completely ignored her. Cut to the perplexed face of the woman. FEMALE VOICE-OVER + SUPER: “Feel you have to work twice as hard for half the respect?” ON-SCREEN: Woman nods. FEMALE VOICE-OVER: “I know the feeling. I’m Montellier. The #MadeByCanada sparkling water.” SUPER: “The #MadeByCanada sparkling water.” |
