Video Story 1
Night-time. A lonely highway. A car. Its occupants? Strawberry, raspberry, lime and pineapple. A song is playing on the radio. Suddenly, radio static. The radio dies. The car lights start to flicker before dying. Then, the car dies. A bright light envelops the car from the sky. Cut. Strawberry, raspberry, lime and pineapple find themselves on an alien spaceship. The extraterrestrials are experimenting on them. Cut. The four are now back in the car, but as the MERBEAR [strawberry-lime] and the UNISHARK [blue raspberry-pineapple]. They look wide-eyed and open-mouthed at each other and themselves. A moment later, they high-five, fist-bump, chest-bump, hug each other, etc., in a burst of excitement. The car drives away into the horizon. Cut. VOICEOVER: ‘Jolly Rancher presents the weirdest gummies ever.’ SUPER: Jolly Rancher logo. VOICEOVER: ‘Keep on sucking. Or don't.’ |
Video Story 2
A signboard on a perimeter wall. ‘TreatX Technologies’ and ‘Chief Treatist: Jolly Rancher’. Suddenly, an emergency siren goes off. Hard hat-wearing workers (various fruits) can be seen pointing at the factory and running out of the facility. Then, it happens. A loud, blinding explosion. Four of the workers—strawberry, raspberry, lime and pineapple—find themselves being chased and overrun by a tsunami of industrial ooze. Cut. Fire trucks and ambulances race in. The rescuers find the MERBEAR [strawberry-lime] and the UNISHARK [blue raspberry-pineapple] in the wreckage. Cut. Inside the ambulance, the two characters are seated facing each other. They look wide-eyed and open-mouthed at each other and themselves. A moment later, they high-five, fist-bump, chest-bump, hug each other, etc., in a burst of excitement. The ambulance drives away into the horizon. Cut. VOICEOVER: ‘Jolly Rancher presents the weirdest gummies ever.’ SUPER: Jolly Rancher logo. VOICEOVER: ‘Keep on sucking. Or don't.’ |
Note: The MERBEAR and the UNISHARK poke their heads into the shot and say ‘Or don’t.’ To differentiate the Jolly Rancher soft gummies brand extension, the videos can be 3D computer animations (e.g., Minions, Sing).
